Quality Management & Improvement

The CareGuide corporate philosophy encourages continuous quality improvements in all clinical and business processes, seeking to provide the highest level of care and services to our clients and the individuals we serve. CareGuide has established a coordinated approach to oversee, manage and document quality activities including quality assessment, clinical reviews and process improvement

CareGuide believes that accountability for quality, compliance and medical management activities should be held to the highest standard. Therefore, CareGuide has developed a Quality Management and Improvement Committee (QMIC), which is charged with the development, implementation and oversight of CareGuide’s quality management, medical management, credentialing, company policy, peer review and Medicare compliance activities. The CareGuide Board of Directors is the governing body accountable for CareGuide’s quality management and improvement activities and oversees all QMIC activities.

The CareGuide QMIC achieves its quality improvement objectives through the following strategies:
1. Written plans incorporating quality improvement activities for operational, programmatic and clinical areas are updated annually. All quality improvement activities are consistent with CareGuide’s corporate mission and objectives; statutory requirements; American Accreditation HealthCare Commission/URAC standards/ NCQA; and contractual obligations and the customer service interests of our clients
2. Continuous evaluation and improvement of care delivery systems, work flows and supporting infrastructure to maximize efficiencies and satisfaction for our patients and their families, providers, clients and staff.
3. Refinement of measurement systems to more effectively identify opportunities to improve service provision.
4. Focus on improving quality in all corporate dimensions by implementing multidisciplinary, data-driven project teams and encouraging participatory problem solving.
5. A corporate culture that supports improvement. Communication, dialogue and information exchange is encouraged throughout the organizational reporting structure, with regard to findings, analyses, conclusions, recommendations, actions and evaluations pertaining to performance improvement.
